Ford Bronco Sport vs Toyota RAV4 in Jersey City

The Ford Bronco Sport is Taking New Jersey by Storm and Dominating the SUV Competition

When Ford brings a new vehicle to market, the world stands up and takes notice. At Stevens Jersey City Ford, we enjoy bringing drivers throughout the greater Newark and New York, NY area a selection of the latest, brand-new Ford styles. For our customers who appreciate the rugged appearance and off-road prowess of the Ford Bronco, we're excited to introduce you to the Bronco SUV's new little brother, the Ford Bronco Sport.

Meet the New Ford Bronco Sport

The Bronco Sport is a compact SUV that's based on the same frame and size as the perennially popular Ford Escape. But it takes its styling cues and its personality from the rough and tumble, off-road ready Ford Bronco. It's a five-passenger SUV with two rows of seating and a four-door, boxy design. If you're in the market for a comfortable, compact crossover that can take you to work in Elizabeth, but also offers trail-riding performance chops you won't find just anywhere, the Bronco Sport is an ideal solution.

Of course, while the Bronco Sport is an exciting addition to the roads and the compact SUV market in general, we know that it's not the only one around. In addition to its close relatives the Bronco and the Escape, it also faces competition from other respected brands and models. To help you understand the benefits of the Bronco Sport a little better and help you make the right decision for your New Jersey rides, we've compared our SUV to the competition, and we invite you to read on to learn more.

Bronco Sport vs Toyota RAV4

  • Powerful engine options. Ford knows drivers like choices, and the Bronco Sport delivers. Two powertrains are available here as options, you can get a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower, or a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 245 horsepower. The gas-powered RAV4 doesn't offer drivers options. All trims come with a standard four-cylinder engine that puts out 203 horsepower.
  • Standard four-wheel drive. Regardless of which trim or engine combination you choose for the Bronco Sport, you can look forward to standard four-wheel drive and special off-road ready design enhancements on each one, such as the standard Ford Slippery and Sand traction-control driving modes. All-wheel drive, on the other hand, is listed as an option for the RAV4, not a standard amenity.
  • Passenger space and comfort. Thanks to its boxy design and taller roofline, the Ford Bronco Sport is ideal for maximizing passenger comfort. Your tallest friends and growing teenagers will love the added headroom in the Ford, which averages around two inches higher than the RAV4 in both the front and the backseat. Plus, not only will you get more headroom with the Ford, you can also expect more legroom, especially in the front seat.
